We offer variety: classroom, demonstrations and hands-on. Mornings are “classroom” powerpoint presentation. Afternoons are on location, where James will evaluate live hooves and demonstrate trimming, with step-by-step detailed guidance. The use of both hand tools and power tools are fully demonstrated. A limited number of horses may be brought to the clinic to use in the demos, at no charge. Hands-on trimming help: Experienced owner-trimmers & professionals may bring their own horses for evaluation during on-site trimming by them for the Sunday afternoon session (no charge). Bring hoof photos for free evaluation. Any full trimming by James outside of the Clinic will be an extra fee by private arrangement. Any stabling, boarding, feed costs, etc will be additional -- please contact Event Coordinator for details.

Clinic attendees:You may bring along your horses' hoof photos for free evaluation, or you may email your horses' hoof photos to us ahead of time, for inclusion in our powerpoint presentation and discussion. This is a great learning tool, whether you do or do not bring your horse to the clinic for hands on evaluation. Click here for a PDF page with some photo angle suggestions. We have a current maximum limit of 30-40 participants per clinic in general, in order to provide as much personal attention as we can.
