*Note: Clinic payment is non-refundable after April 15th, due to travel expenses. Prior to April 15th, clinic spot can be cancelled and will be refunded in full, minus a $100 deposit. After April 15th, paid clinic spots that must be cancelled (with notice) may be transferred to another person., but no refunds.

James Welz will be presenting their 2 Day Hoof Health Clinic at Second Chance Stables, St. Andrews, Manitoba (just a few minutes north on Highway # 8, off the Perimeter Hwy in Winnipeg) May 15/16, 2010.

This is a 2 day intense course. James will be presenting new scientific and practical information in classroom format, as well as trimming 3-4 horses to demonstrate and teach the trimming method. All will benefit from this comprehensive, dynamic approach to hoof health and trimming.

Preference will be given to those who have completed 1 or 2 days of BF Hoof Health Courses,or are already trimming in a barefoot style, have studied barefoot hoof and horse care, or are a professional farrier wishing to get a stronger knowledge base in hoof health. Many, many students of Barb Fenwick's BF Hoof Health have taken the basic course following the teachings and style of James Welz, and are successfully trimming their own horses, or have switched to a local barefoot farrier. There is a great need in Manitoba now for more barefoot hoof care professionals, and we warmly welcome those in the trade already to consider this additional avenue of revenue/knowledge.
 
The first day is classroom based and trimming demonstrations.  On the second day, as part of further classroom study, students will be trimming cadaver hooves instead of live horses to make the learning time more valuable and physically easier for people. James will also do cross-sections on cadaver hooves as part of the course instruction.

Course early bird fee $350.00 US. (early bird date up to & including April 15th, 2010, thereafter $400.00) Minimum payment/deposits of 100.00 are due February 15th. Deposit is non-refundable (except in event of clinic cancellation, of course). Balance of the fees must be paid by April 15th for early bird price. Spots are limited,so register early to guarantee a spot.

We will allow students to bring their horses for hoof health or trim assessment. I can guarantee you will come away with a deeper, wider education and ALL of your questions will be answered. Boarding will be available at this terrific venue, which has an indoor arena and classroom areas.  

The clinic is filling up, but if we have more participants than 30, we may consider a second clinic before or after the above dates. Please email or call to indicate your interest and get put on the student list.
